Roles & Responsibilities
Learning and teaching
- Deliver high-quality teaching to students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Identify best and innovative practices in learning and teaching and build them into personal teaching practice.
- Ensure that personal research, knowledge, and/or experience of the field inform personal teaching practice.
- Contribute actively to initiatives that identify new and best practices in teaching and learning and promote them across the faculty and institution.
- Enhance student experience and outcomes.
- Provide academic advice and counselling.
- Liaise closely with teaching, technical, and administrative staff as appropriate to ensure a quality teaching and learning environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:
- Appropriate Academic Qualification in Graphic Design from a recognised accredited or equivalent institution.
- Strong skills in graphic design and art direction, with the ability to integrate digital tools and workflows into teaching.
- Experience of current graphic design practice/ theory in areas such as branding, typography, digital design, UI UX, web design and moving image.
- Knowledge of global view of history of art/ visual culture and the history of ideas and
- how these have shaped and influenced the visual landscapes of graphic design.
- Proven professional experience in visual communication, advertising, or graphic design.
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centred learning and collaboration with colleagues to meet course and programme outcomes.
