Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pet Keeper to provide care for owner pets (majority are dogs of various breed). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing food, exercise, and companionship for the pets, cleaning as well as ensuring their safety and well-being. Also observe and monitor pet behavior and report and seek medical care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide food, water, and maintain the pets’ shelter
  • Clean and maintain pets living areas
  • Monitor pets’ behaviour and report any abnormalities
  • Administer medication and minor treatments as per veterinary guidance
  • Maintain the vaccine process and document for each pet
  • Walk each dog at least twice a day
  • Shower the dogs, clean the claws, ears and teeth
  • Coordinate pet food and other required supplies with procurement team
  • Coordinate with the Pet Grooming company for regular grooming requirements
  • Provide companionship, exercise, and playtime for pets
  • Always ensure the pets safety and well-being
  • Monitor the pet’s health and alert the manager of any changes to seek veterinary support
  • Clean up after the pet, including disposing of waste
  • Provide updates to the owner and manager on the pet’s progress

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Competencies:

  • Familiar with pets’ general consumable and material
  • Resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability of raise requisitions
  • Good English command
  • Arabic language is an advantage

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 - 4 Years relevant experience
  • Experience in pet shop or vet clinic is an advantage
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with animals preferred
  • Physical ability to lift heavy pets and work in outdoor environments
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow pet protocols and handle sick pets
