Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The PHP Developer assists in the development and maintenance of web applications using PHP and related frameworks. They write and debug code, contribute to database interactions, and learn to build robust back-end solutions.

Accountability

  • Write clean, well-commented, and efficient PHP code.
  • Assist in the development of new features and functionalities for PHP-based applications.
  • Collaborate with senior developers to understand requirements and implement solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Debug and resolve issues in existing PHP applications.
  • Work with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to store and retrieve data.
  • Learn and apply best practices in PHP development, including security and performance.
  • Integrate with front-end components and third-party APIs.
  • Contribute to technical documentation.
  • Stay updated on PHP versions, frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony), and related technologies.
  • Manage time effectively to meet coding deadlines.
  • Communicate technical challenges and progress to the team.
  • Actively seek learning opportunities and mentorship.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience Requirements

  • BSc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in PHP development.
  • Basic proficiency in PHP and understanding of at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and version control (e.g., Git).
