Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Printing Press Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial printing jobs, ensuring profitability while meeting client specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications, artwork, and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, machine time, finishing, and outsourced services.
• Analyze printing methods (offset, digital, large format, etc.) to determine the most cost-effective production approach.
• Coordinate with sales, prepress, production, and purchasing teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for paper, ink, plates, and finishing services.
• Maintain updated pricing databases and estimating software.
• Assist sales team with pricing strategies and turnaround times.
• Monitor actual production costs and adjust estimating formulas as needed.
• Prepare quotes and proposals for clients within specified deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Printing Technology or High Experience.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial printing estimating or production.
• Strong knowledge of printing processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with offset and digital printing technologies.
• Knowledge of paper grades, binding methods, and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
