Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelors degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Min 4 years in steel manufacturing, preferably in Electric Arc Furnace/ Ladle Furnace operations.
  • Knowledge of steelmaking processes (Electric Arc Furnace, Ladle Furnace, Continuous Casting Machine).
  • Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.
  • Support the efficient and safe operation of Melt Shop (EAF/LF) by monitoring processes, analyzing performance data, and recommending improvements to achieve production, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Provide technical support to production crews and ensure compliance with operating procedures.
  • Monitor EAF/LF processes for compliance with SOPs.
  • Analyze process data and identify performance gaps.
  • Recommend adjustments to improve yield, reduce consumption, and optimize productivity.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Assist shift leaders in troubleshooting process deviations.
  • Ensure coordination with casting and rolling units.
  • Support Section Head in implementing best practices.
