Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Coordinate with KPC or SAC risk management process for comprehensive risk evaluation and mitigation.
Develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Continuously assess and update risk management protocols to improve process safety.
Create and maintain detailed risk profiles for various operational areas, identifying potential hazards and assessing risk levels.
Utilize data and insights from PHA and site assessments to inform risk profiles.
Regularly review and update risk profiles to reflect changes in operations, processes, or external factors.
Update and maintain electrical drawings and schematics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards.
Provide process safety input during the design and engineering phases of projects to ensure inherent safety is integrated from the outset, review specification of safety-critical equipment, review of P&IDs, layouts, and process control strategies.
Act as a liaison between various departments to facilitate effective communication and coordination in process safety matters.
Review and update documentation, including equipment source data and data sheets.
Actively engage in the Management of Change (MOC) process.
Conduct site visits for project support and maintenance activities, verifying compliance with safety standards.
Uphold HSE policies, rules and regulations and reports potential hazards to EHS Division or related authorities as applicable. Organizes training on safety standards, PHA, and risk management.
Actively applies the risk management process in the daily duties. Commit and work to deliver good risk management performance. Seek to improve knowledge and understanding of effective risk management principles and practices through continuing personal development.
Undertake duties contributing to project success, attends meetings, and performs facilities studies.
Develop and maintain a plan for compliance with PSI Process Expectations and submits the annual plan for review and approval.
Determine the list of applicable PSI for WJO facilities and ensures its accuracy and availability for safe operations and risk assessments.
Track performance against WJO leading and lagging measures for PSI and conducts annual reviews to identify process gaps and implement continual improvement.
Participate in the PSI Community of Practice (CoP) and interacts with SHEERS Process Advisors and Standards SMEs to align PSI implementation with SHEERS expectations.
Complete SHEERS Training and participates in Facility Engineering Framework (FEFW) and PSI-related conferences and training.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Technical Authority (TA) for owned Process Safety Information.
Coordinate with Area PSI Coordinators across various disciplines (Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Environmental) to ensure PSI conformance.
Approve modifications to PSI and conduct periodic reviews for accuracy and completeness.
Determine and provide appropriate access to PSI users and manage budget requirements to support/maintain PSI.
Collects, defines, and maintains the location of PSI master documents.
Generate and submit regular reports related to PSI audits, metrics, and compliance status.
Ensure that PSI is integrated into safety operations, risk assessments, and MOC processes
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor Degree in Engineering (major or specialised in Process Engineering)
With over 10 years of experience in process and process control.
Background in process safety will be an added advantage.
