Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate vendors for interior fit-out materials, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards are met, focusing on specialized elements like bespoke joinery or high-end finishes.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, focusing on payment terms, warranties, and performance guarantees, particularly for complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage the procurement process from RFQ to purchase order, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services for interior fit-out projects and handle any delivery issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and interior designers to understand project requirements, technical specifications, and design intent for interior fit-out projects.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovative solutions for interior fit-outs, with knowledge of sustainability practices.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed procurement reports, tracking costs, savings, and vendor performance metrics for interior fit-out projects, ensuring accuracy in data.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations for interior fit-out materials, including building codes.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the procurement of interior fit-out materials and services, focusing on project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Manage vendor relationships, addressing performance issues and fostering long-term partnerships for interior fit-out projects, focusing on trust and reliability.
  • Oversee the inspection of delivered materials and services to ensure they meet specified quality standards and design requirements for interior fit-out projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is essential for this role.
  • Possess relevant certifications such as Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) or similar, demonstrating professional competence.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement within the interior fit-out industry, showcasing practical expertise.
  • Proven experience in the interior fit-out industry, specifically in commercial or high-end residential projects.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and construction processes.
  • Should be fluent in English (written and spoken), with proficiency in additional languages a plus.
  • Possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management.
  • Proficient in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
