Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  •  The responsible for the rate procurement process for Sea & Air freight (Import / Export) which includes sourcing freight forwarders and quotation preparation for customer inquiries.

  • Based on customer / Sales inquiry, PE will source and contact appropriate Freight Forwarders (Agents / Vendors/ Air Lines/ Shipping Lines) for the requirements.

  •  Analyze the received rates from different suppliers (Minimum 3 suppliers) and select the supplier based on rates and services offered.

  • Preparing quotation and send to customer for approval.

  •  Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts, and tender management.

  • Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree graduate


    Work Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role with enough experience in Sea/Air freight Sales/procurement.


    Competencies:

    •  Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook

    • Decision making ability.                                                                                                                   

    •  Good Communication Skills.


    Languages:

    • English
