Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager leads the end-to-end procurement function for materials, equipment, and services required for all construction projects. The role ensures strategic sourcing, supplier performance, contract negotiation, and cost control. It requires close coordination with project, engineering, and commercial teams to maintain timely availability of materials while meeting quality, budget, and compliance requirements.

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to identify material and equipment requirements.
- Work with project teams to forecast procurement needs and resolve supply chain constraints early.
- Identify, evaluate, and pre-qualify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and coordinate technical and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure optimal value.
- Control procurement spending and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Ensure materials and equipment comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and oversee logistics, delivery, and storage to support uninterrupted project execution.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage risks related to reliability, price fluctuations, or delivery delays.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in procurement for construction or commercial building projects.
Skills:
· Proficiency in procurement management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
· Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and market trends.
· Familiarity with local and international procurement laws and regulations.
· Understanding of cost control principles and budgeting techniques.
