Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- The Procurement Manager is responsible for providing procurement leadership within the organization such as defining the sourcing and procurement strategy, maintaining the procurement policies and procedures and coordinating the procurement strategy and reporting with Colas group procurement department. The development of export purchases when relevant and supply chain / logistic efficiency are initiatives expected from the role.
- The Procurement Manager is taking part directly in the procurement of strategic supplies & services such as for example purchases related to fixed assets, raw materials or specific contracting projects.
- Together with the General Management, takes into account all of the Group s strategic objectives and projects in order to propose the appropriate Procurement strategy that ensures a consistent supply of goods and services,
- reduces duplication of purchases, and leverages bulk purchasing power to secure price discounts.
- Ensures the mobilization of the means necessary to achieve the objectives (resources, organization, process, etc.).
- Ensures economic and competitive watch of the market in terms of Procurement strategy and anticipates structural developments. Negotiates complex or high-value vendor contracts.
- Solicits and mobilizes his/her networks/ecosystems to enrich the thinking and find disruptive solutions.
- Builds and manages partnerships to develop the Group s business models (new product/service offers, production methods, consumption of resources, etc.).
- Carries out cross-functional procurement actions with high stakes at Group level and guarantees their results.
- Ensures the management of his/her sector: recruitment, integration, training of employees, monitoring of professional developments, talent management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
- A Bachelor s / Master s degree Essential
- Professional Degree in PS & SC or MBA is desirable
- 7 10 years of commercial, procurement and supply chain management experience
- Exceptional influencing, persuasion and presentation skills
- Experience in the construction industry or manufacturing industry (ideal but not mandatory)
- GCC procurement experience
- Procurement and supply chain management
- Export & logistics
- Expert negotiation capability
- Regional sourcing experience
- Managed operations in a multi-cultural environment
- Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
