Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing and producing work schedules and Gantt charts for ship repair, shipbuilding, and specialized jobs for vessels and projects within the Yard & Offshore; measuring and recording work performance; and developing appropriate data banks for special projects as directed.
· Studies projects work lists prior to the arrival of vessels.
· Determines activity duration and prepares initial work schedule.
· Determines level of detail necessary.
· Determines resources to be assigned per trade.
· Prepares final schedule with maximum accuracy.
· Tracks work progress and updates the system accurately by visiting sites -on board and workshops.
· Analyzes data using reports, graphics and profiles.
· Compares actual progress to planned progress.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
· To ensure acceptable ISO standards of Quality, Environmental, OHSMS and Security Management System and American Petroleum Institute (API) Q1 are maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
Desired Candidate Profile
· University Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
· Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as planner in marine industry or similar industry.
Familiarity with Primavera Project Planner.
· Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
· Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Flexible and adaptable; able to respond to change.
· Ability to deal with people at all levels.
· Independent correspondent ability.
· Proactive, positive and a high sense of responsibility.
· Honest, respectful, and trustworthy.
Ability to solve problems at workplace.
