Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all civil engineering aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections and surveys to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with UAE regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations, utilizing relevant software and tools.
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and resolve any technical challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, track expenses, and prepare regular progress reports for management, highlighting key milestones and potential risks.
  • Evaluate and approve material submissions, ensuring quality and adherence to project requirements.
  • Liaise with governmental authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, offering innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Hold a valid professional engineering license (or eligibility to obtain one in the UAE).
  • Have 5-10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction projects in the UAE.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Exhibit proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis tools.
  • Possess excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budget control.
  • Showcase strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Be a proactive problem-solver with the ability to make sound engineering decisions under pressure.
