Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of project control frameworks for oil and gas construction projects, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Establish and maintain project schedules using advanced scheduling software, emphasizing critical path analysis and resource allocation.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Facilitate the collection and analysis of project performance data, producing regular reports for stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met within budget and timeline constraints.
- Implement and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and reporting on variances against the planned budget.
- Direct the change management process, assessing impacts on schedule and cost, and securing necessary approvals.
- Lead project control meetings, ensuring effective communication across teams and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Train and mentor junior project control staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Role is based in Abu Regional Office based.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred for advanced roles.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project controls within the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management credentials are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in both pre-award and post-award project phases, demonstrating versatility and comprehensive understanding.
- Familiarity with industry-standard project management software, particularly Primavera P6 or MS Project, is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights for project improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of thriving in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting, to ensure project profitability.
