Project Director (Etihad Rail -Bridge Construction)

The Project Director will provide overall strategic, technical, and commercial leadership for large-scale bridge construction projects in Dubai, with a strong focus on RTA infrastructure works and Etihad Rail bridge projects. The role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring compliance with client requirements, UAE regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations, while achieving project objectives related to time, cost, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Project Leadership 1) Lead and manage multiple high-value bridge construction projects from mobilization through completion and handover. 2) Act as the primary point of contact with RTA, Etihad Rail, consultants, and other key stakeholders. 3) Provide strategic direction to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams. 4) Ensure alignment of project execution with company objectives, contractual requirements, and client expectations. Technical & Engineering Oversight 1) Oversee planning, design coordination, and execution of bridge structures, including viaducts, flyovers, interchanges, rail bridges, and related structures. 2) Ensure compliance with RTA specifications, Etihad Rail standards, UAE codes, and international best practices. 3) Review and approve construction methodologies, temporary works, sequencing, and value engineering proposals. Commercial & Contract Management 1) Manage contracts, variations, claims, and dispute resolution in coordination with the Commercial team. 2) Monitor project budgets, cash flow, cost control, and profitability. 3) Lead negotiations with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers as required. Schedule & Risk Management 1) Ensure robust project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring. 2) Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies. 3) Drive recovery plans for delayed or underperforming projects. Quality, HSE & Compliance 1) Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies, RTA safety regulations, and Etihad Rail safety requirements. 2) Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites. 3) Ensure quality assurance and quality control systems are effectively implemented and maintained. Stakeholder & Team Management 1) Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. 2) Lead, mentor, and develop senior project teams to ensure high performance and succession planning. 3) Represent the company at high-level meetings, progress reviews, and project governance forums.
