Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Be fully accountable for the development and maintenance of the Project Management Knowledge Centre (Centre of Excellence), including establishing best-practice taxonomy, cataloguing project management resources, and managing the Project Management Office s library of research, papers, and lessons learned.

  • Conduct specialist research and analysis on industry best practices in programme and portfolio standards, ensuring alignment with competency development programmes, and advising the EK Group on the design of new project management tools and techniques.
  • Lead multiple business project teams (projects up to AED 50 million in value), developing solutions to project challenges in line with strong project governance standards, and supporting delivery within agreed cost and time parameters.
  • Build group-wide capability by designing and delivering basic, intermediate, and advanced project management programmes, and advising on optimal blended learning approaches (e-learning, classroom training, and external programmes).
  • Develop and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with business unit managers to support project management competency development, and ensure adherence by the Project Support Office.
  • Influence business units across EK Group to define their project management requirements in line with industry standards, and design targeted skill enhancement programmes to support best practice adoption.
  • Continuously review and manage the Project Management training and assessment approach, utilising Training Needs Analysis (TNA) tools to assess capability maturity and deliver programmes to address identified gaps.
  • Design and deliver regular metrics and reporting packages that track maturity levels and trends in project management capability across individuals and business units.

Desired Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree qualified, with one or more of the following project management certifications: CAPM, PMP, and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • Relevant experience working on projects, ideally with exposure to project management coaching and mentoring within a customer-facing role, and experience engaging professionally with stakeholders at all levels within a formal project environment.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (spreadsheets), MS Word (word processing), MS PowerPoint (presentations), MS Project (project scheduling), MS Visio (workflow mapping), and SharePoint (e-workspace collaboration).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven coaching capability.
  • Excellent planning, verbal and written communication, presentation, and report-writing skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring individuals and groups, including at senior management level.
