Job Description

The Project Manager - Construction is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and leading construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage and drive the successful delivery of construction projects. The individual will work closely with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Moreover, the Project Manager will be in charge of navigating the intricacies of project execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Being at the forefront of project development, the role demands a proactive problem solver who can adapt to changing project environments and make informed decisions to avoid potential setbacks. Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects.
  • Coordinate and liaise with architects, engineers, and construction teams on project tasks.

  • Manage project resources efficiently to maintain project budget and timeline.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate project challenges effectively.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to report on project progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Oversee procurement processes and select contractors based on project requirements.
  • Ensure quality control measures are in place to meet project specifications and standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for future reference and compliance review.
  • Execute change management processes to accommodate project adjustments as necessary.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to guide project teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the aptitude to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certification is preferred.
