Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the entire heat exchanger project lifecycle, from initial design to final commissioning, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and fabrication, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, encompassing scope, schedule, and resource allocation, to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance management, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare detailed reports, and proactively communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., ASME, TEMA), and safety regulations throughout the project.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges, design modifications, and fabrication issues to minimize delays.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lessons learned and best practices to enhance project efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams, promoting collaboration and effective communication.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
  • Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, showcasing expertise in project management methodologies.
  • Bring a minimum of 7 years of experience in heat exchanger project management, including design and fabrication.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ASME and TEMA standards, indicating a deep understanding of industry best practices.
  • Show a proven track record of successfully managing projects within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industries.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Possess strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide project teams towards achieving common goals.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P, enabling efficient planning and tracking.
  • Showcase strong problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling effective decision-making under pressure.
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken, ensuring clear and concise communication with international stakeholders.
