Project Manager - Shipyard AlHassanain B.S.C Closed

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction of new vessels (tankers, bulk carriers, offshore support vessels, etc.) from design to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in shipyard project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire vessel construction process, from steel cutting to sea trials and delivery.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring milestones are met.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, procurement, production, and QA/QC).
• Liaise with clients, classification societies (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.), and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with technical specifications and international standards (SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO).
• Monitor subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for delays, cost overruns, or technical issues.
• Lead progress meetings and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies (OSHA, shipyard safety protocols).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10+ years of shipyard experience, with 5+ years in project management for newbuilds.
• Proven experience in managing vessel construction (tankers, bulk carriers, OSVs, or specialized vessels).
• Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of shipbuilding processes, including:
  Hull fabrication and outfitting
  Machinery installation (propulsion, auxiliary systems)
  Electrical and piping systems integration
• Familiarity with class rules (ABS, DNV, LR) and maritime regulations.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.
• Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing training.
