A Proposal & Estimation Manager plays a vital role in ensuring an organization s success by leading the preparation, development, and submission of business proposals. The Proposal & Estimation Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and ensure pricing structures are competitive and accurate. They are also responsible for analyzing project requirements, assessing risks, and effectively communicating the organization s value proposition to prospective clients. A successful Proposal & Estimation Manager must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and submission of comprehensive business proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for proposal development.
  • Analyze project requirements to ensure competitive and accurate estimating processes.
  • Ensure all proposals adhere to company standards and client stipulations.
  • Utilize strategic pricing techniques to maximize profit while remaining competitive.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks before proposal submission.
  • Coordinate the review and approval process for all proposals and estimates.
  • Develop a database of pricing models to streamline the estimation process.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and negotiation.

  • Provide training and resources for team members involved in the proposal process.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in proposal writing or estimation management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of creating successful proposals that lead to company growth.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Office, CRM, and proposal management tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all estimates and proposals.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges.
