Job Description /Scope

(Pre-Commissioning protection testing of the 11kv Switchgear Panel, The Panel can be any type of Switchgear Panel Such as Transformer Panel, Directional Feeder Panel, Non-directional Feeder Panels, Bus Section Panels, Motor/chiller Panel).

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities

To carry out all required pre-commissioning protection testing for any type/make of 11kV switchgear indoor panel prior to commissioning the substation.

To carry out the Protection testing works in the 11 kV panels of client distribution network which includes confirming the wiring correctness, tightness of the terminations and proper installation of the devices and components in LV compartment. The works includes testing of protection relays, CT, VT and wiring confirmation as per details in the scope of work. The active functions of the relays shall be tested and confirmed.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years experience in Protection testing and commissioning of MV, Distribution systems. The Switchgear testing Engineers shall have experience in testing of Electromechanical / Static / Numerical Relays (including advanced relays), Testing of CT/VTs, Numerical relay configuration, Relay firmware updating, fault record retrieval etc.

Candidate shall be well familiar with control, Protection, and communication drawing to understand control, Protection & communication schemes of the substations.
