Roles & Responsibilities

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing, optimizing, and monitoring the hotel's purchases to ensure the availability of products and services necessary for the smooth operation of the establishment, while controlling costs, quality, and delivery times.

Main tasks:

  • Identify the needs of the different departments of the hotel.
  • To ensure the supply of products, equipment and services.
  • Launch consultations and calls for tenders from suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices, commercial terms and delivery times.
  • Create and track purchase orders.
  • Select and list the suppliers.
  • Maintaining a lasting relationship with partners.
  • evaluate supplier performance (quality, costs, delivery times).
  • Monitor the market and search for new suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing budgets.
  • Control costs and optimize spending.
  • Track deliveries and manage supplier disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels in coordination with operational departments.
  • avoid shortages and overstocking.
  • Participate in periodic inventories.
  • Produce purchasing dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze performance indicators and propose improvement actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

Desired profile:

  • Bac+4 or higher education in Financial Management or Commerce.
  • Proven experience of more than 5 years in a similar position, ideally in the hotel industry.
  • Good knowledge of hotel products and supply chains.
  • Mastery of computer tools and management software.

Required skills:

  • Negotiation techniques.
  • Purchasing and supply management.
  • Budget management.
  • Cost analysis.
  • My proficiency in Excel and ERP/purchasing software.
