Roles & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Own site hygiene and sanitation programs, SSOPs, zoning, and segregation
Lead hygiene risk assessments and act as hygiene owner in HACCP team
Validate and verify cleaning effectiveness (ATP, microbiology, visual)
Own environmental monitoring programs and trend analysis
Ensure audit readiness and closure of hygiene CAPAs
Act as hygiene SME with authority to escalate and stop production if required
Drive hygiene training, culture, and continuous improvement
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops and ensures that factory sanitation programs are effectively implemented, validated, and maintained to ensure that all products are manufactured in a sanitary and wholesome environment.
That includes assessment of the sanitation and hygiene of the facility environment (internal/external) as well as the processing and supporting equipment.
Develops and ensures that effective/efficient cleaning frequency is managed through a master sanitation schedule (MSS).
(Coordinate activities with manufacturing, maintenance and building maintained required to ensure the consistent use of the program procedures. Ensure that this cleaning program complies with
any regulatory (federal, state, local) requirements).
Establishes and manages the factory integrated pest management (IPM) program and ensures that it has been implemented and maintained effectively to support a pest-free environment.
(As manager of the program, coordinates the activities of QA officer related to execution of the IPM program and as manager of this program and is the primary contact with the 3rd-party pest control
partner)
Actively involved in hygienic design and zoning review processes at the factory for existing and new process equipment as well as the facility structure, including early management of design and
capital review process. Provides leadership/direction in hygienic design.
Administers and manages the factory sanitation, GMP and other related hygiene inspection programs. This includes the management and communication of a formalized corrective action process to drive continuous improvement
To review and maintain the external service providers monitoring program and liaise with other departments on this issue
Acts as the liaison for the factory with the vendors of chemical substances, performs risk assessment of those and and coordinates the vendor visits and needed support.
Coordinates hygiene training and development of employees for all factory hygiene programs (areas include sanitation, GMP, IPM, allergens, and hygienic engineering). Active participant in Quality training for the factory and contractors.
Establishes environmental, pathogen and allergen monitoring programs for the factory and ensures that the cleaning validation and allergen validation programs meet regulatory guidelines and sectorial standards. Checks on above scheduled programs and verifies completion by manufacturing and QC as scheduled.
To maintain and upgrade the TACCP and VACCP programs for the KDD facilities and coordinate the same with the suppliers
Active member of the factory Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) / Food Safety Team. Duties include supporting pre-requisite program (PRP) verification activities and providing the link with these activities back to the Food Safety Team.
Participate in supplier audits programs, complete with comprehensive reports of the audits conducted.
Participate and support external audit functions of KDD by interested parties and support the functions related to pre- audit preparations and customer questionnaires
Identify, participate or lead in Defect reduction and continual improvement projects and perform data analyses and reporting
To manage, mentor and guide the assigned QA systems officer
To attend inter departmental meetings on behalf of the QA department and communicate back to relevant parties required actions
Perform other duties as required:
Supporting compliance to the company Health & Safety and Environmental programmed.
Complying with Health, Safety and Environment regulations and working practices of KDD.

Desired Candidate Profile

A Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Microbiology or related field Must have a theoretical and/or practical experience in Quality Assurance and sanitation.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in Food Industry, preferably in aseptic and / or fermented in Food Safety related roles. Demonstrated experience in working across department and companies. Proven FSSC 22000 or other GFSI approved system exposure.
