Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Hands-On Technical Leadership
Design and maintain automation frameworks for API, UI, mobile, and performance testing
Lead by example through hands-on test development and complex problem-solving
Implement AI-powered testing solutions to accelerate test execution and improve coverage
Perform advanced root cause analysis of critical production issues and complex defects
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
Conduct performance and load testing to validate system scalability
Lead security testing initiatives using OWASP tools and vulnerability assessment
AI-Powered Testing Innovation
Leverage AI and machine learning tools to generate and optimise test scripts
Implement AI-based test automation platforms to reduce test creation time by 30-50%
Use AI for intelligent test case generation and self-healing automation
Create automated workflows using AI to speed up regression testing
Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to improve testing efficiency
Team Guidance & Knowledge Sharing
Guide team on automation best practices, AI tool usage, and advanced testing techniques
Collaborate with team members on complex technical challenges
Share knowledge on AI-powered testing approaches and tool implementations
Support team growth through hands-on training and technical guidance
Technical Collaboration
Work closely with development and DevOps teams on quality requirements and testability
Collaborate on test strategy design for enterprise applications and critical system integrations
Prepare technical documentation, including automation frameworks, AI workflows, and quality metrics
Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and architecture reviews
Desired Candidate Profile
Core Experience
8+ years in software quality assurance with 1-2 years in technical leadership or senior role
Strong hands-on proficiency in automation development and test framework design
Ability to solve complex testing challenges independently
Automation & Technical Skills
Hands-on automation development using Selenium, Appium, REST Assured, Playwright, or Cypress
Good programming skills in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
Strong experience with Azure DevOps including pipelines, test plans, boards, and repos
Strong proficiency in SQL databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for queries and data validation
Strong proficiency in NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) for document-based data testing
Performance testing experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or k6
API & Security Testing
Advanced API testing using Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or Katalon Studio
Hands-on security testing with OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar tools
Experience implementing security tests in automation frameworks
Understanding of API security vulnerabilities and testing concepts
AI-Powered Testing (Critical Requirement)
Hands-on experience using AI and machine learning tools for test automation
Proven ability to reduce test creation time by 30-50% using AI-powered solutions
Experience with AI test generation platforms and intelligent automation tools
Familiarity with AI-based visual testing and self-healing automation
Active use of AI for test data generation and test case optimisation
Ability to guide team members on effective AI tool usage for testing
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with troubleshooting expertise
Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Strong negotiation skills for managing stakeholder expectations and requirements
Ability to present quality metrics and test strategies effectively

Ability to balance hands-on technical work (60-70%) with team guidance (30-40%)
