Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and implement welding quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of welding processes, identifying and resolving non-conformance issues promptly.
- Train and mentor welding personnel on quality assurance practices and the latest welding technologies.
- Review and approve welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ensure they are properly followed on-site.
- Lead root cause analysis for welding defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in welding engineering, materials science, or a related field is essential for a solid foundation.
- Certification from a recognized welding organization, such as AWS or ASME, is highly preferred for credibility.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in quality control within the welding industry is crucial for competency.
- Experience with various welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and understanding of their quality implications is required.
- Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools for quality management and reporting is necessary for efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret welding inspection results and identify trends or issues effectively.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages being a plus for international project collaboration.
