Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Reports to Deputy General Manager
1. Job Purpose
To ensure that all Scaffolding & Formwork materials and manufactured components comply with company specifications, international standards, Saudi regulations and client requirements (including Saudi Aramco), through effective inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 Quality System Implementation
Implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with:
ISO 9001 requirements
Saudi Aramco GI and CSM
Company quality procedures and work instructions
Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
2.2 Incoming Material Inspection
Inspect incoming materials including:
Scaffolding tubes
Couplers and fittings
Scaffold boards and accessories
Formwork items
All other related items
Verify material test certificates (MTCs) and compliance with specifications.
Ensure traceability of materials.
2.3 In-Process Manufacturing Inspection
Monitor fabrication activities including:
Cutting and forming
Welding and assembly
Surface preparation and blasting
Painting & Powder Coating processes
Verify compliance with approved fabrication drawings and specifications.
Ensure welding procedures and welder qualifications meet applicable standards.
Conduct dimensional checks and visual inspections.
2.4 Final Product Inspection
Perform final inspection of components including:
Tube and coupler systems
Cuplock & Ring Lock Systems
Scaffold accessories and safety components
Frame scaffolds
Formwork Components
Ensure products meet load capacity and structural requirements.
Verify marking, tagging and identification requirements.
2.5 Testing & Verification
Coordinate or conduct required testing including:
Load testing of scaffold components
Coating thickness testing
Surface finish inspection
Dimensional verification
NDT (if applicable)
2.6 Documentation & Records
Maintain quality records including:
Inspection reports
Test reports
Material traceability logs
Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CAPA)
Prepare quality dossiers and manufacturing data books for clients.
2.7 Non-Conformance Control
Identify defective materials and products.
Raise NCRs and coordinate corrective actions.
Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure segregation and proper disposition of rejected materials.
2.8 Vendor & Supplier Quality Control
Evaluate supplier quality performance.
Participate in supplier inspections and audits.
Ensure purchased materials meet technical specifications.
2.9 Client & Third-Party Inspection Coordination
Coordinate inspections with:
Clients
Third-party inspection agencies
Saudi Aramco representatives (as applicable)
Ensure readiness for client inspections and approvals.
2.10 Continuous Improvement
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Analyze quality trends and recommend process improvements.
Support Lean manufacturing and defect reduction programs.
3. Authority
The Quality Control Engineer is authorized to:
Reject non-conforming materials or products.
Stop production activities if quality standards are not met.
Recommend corrective actions to manufacturing and procurement teams.
Desired Candidate Profile
4. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
5. Certifications (Preferred)
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor
NDT Certification (Preferred)
Welding Inspection Certification (Preferred)
Knowledge of Saudi Aramco quality standards is an advantage
6. Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Scaffolding manufacturing
Well experienced with proper handling and working of all QC related equipment such as UTM, Vernier Calipers, Dial Gauges, Spectroscope, NDT testing, sample preparation for testing, all related QC and Scaffolding & testing standards.
7. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of scaffolding systems and components.
Knowledge of fabrication and welding inspection.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of material testing and quality control procedures.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Fluent in English and Urdu or Hindi (Reading, Writing and Speaking)
Knowledge of Arabic is preferred.

Product rejection rate
NCR closure effectiveness
Inspection compliance rate
Customer complaint reduction
Supplier quality performance
On-time inspection completion
9. Working Conditions
Work in manufacturing facility and material storage areas.
Exposure to fabrication processes, heavy equipment and outdoor conditions.
