Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and inspection plans for valve manufacturing processes.
Prepare and maintain Quality Control documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and test reports.
Conduct in-process and final inspections of valves, assemblies, and components as per approved drawings and specifications.
Verify compliance of materials, welding, machining, and assembly operations to applicable standards (API 6A, API Spec Q1, API 598, API 6D, ASME B16.34, etc.).
Monitor dimensional inspection, hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, and leak testing activities.
Ensure traceability of products through inspection and test records.
Ensure that all quality documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits and customer review.
Participate in internal audits as per ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1/Q2 requirements.
2. Nonconformance & Corrective Actions
Identify, document, and report nonconformances found during inspection or testing.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to initiate and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives to eliminate recurring issues.
3. Supplier Quality
Inspect and verify incoming materials and components from suppliers.
Participate in supplier audits and evaluation processes to ensure quality compliance.
Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and vendor documentation.
4. Customer & Certification Support
Coordinate with customers, third-party inspectors, and certification bodies during inspection, testing, and audit activities.
Support certification and audit requirements for ISO, API, and other regulatory standards.
Address customer quality concerns promptly and support resolution to ensure satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in valve or heavy equipment manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of relevant standards: API Q1/Q2, API 6D, API 598, ASME B16.34, ASTM, ISO 9001:2015…ETC
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring instruments.
Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI) is an advantage.
