Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Carry out post-contract Quantity Surveying works in line with project and contract requirements.
Conduct monthly site checks to verify completed works against approved drawings and specifications.
Prepare a Monthly Schedule of Works Completed, forming the basis for interim payment certification.
Review and evaluate contractors claims for time extensions and prepare contract variation orders.
Assess and recommend contractors interim and final payments based on actual work progress.
Maintain accurate records of materials delivered to site, collating all delivery invoices.
Monitor and keep records of plant, manpower, and resources deployed at site.
Collect and verify test results, issuing them to the Client for compliance verification.
Carry out mark-up of drawings for underground works, including line, level, and position checks.
Prepare cost reports, variation logs, and cash flow forecasts for project monitoring.
Support the Resident Engineer and Project Manager in all post-contract commercial and contractual matters.
Ensure full compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), FIDIC, Ashghal, Municipality, and Civil Defense regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from a recognized university.
10 15 years of Quantity Surveying experience in consultancy firms (mandatory).
Chartered status is preferred.
Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, RICS, CIQS) is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of post-contract services: payment certification, claims evaluation, variation orders, and final account settlement.
In-depth knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), FIDIC contracts, and local authority standards.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy, or equivalent).
Excellent communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Must be Qatar-based with a valid QID.
