Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately inspecting, recording, and organizing all incoming deliveries to ensure they meet the company’s quality and quantity standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for verifying goods against purchase orders, maintaining accurate records in the ERP/inventory system, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately receive and inspect all deliveries against purchase orders and product specifications.
Verify the quality, quantity, pricing, and shelf life of all incoming supplies.
Record received goods in the ERP or inventory management system and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
Enter and track all internal goods movements in the system daily.
Maintain organized and complete records of supplier invoices and supporting documents.
Notify relevant departments (Procurement, Kitchen, Finance) of any rejected deliveries, short supplies, or missing items and assist in resolving issues.
Coordinate with internal teams to address and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
Ensure all goods are stored properly, following FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) practices.
Maintain full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards during receiving and storage processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in receiving operations, preferably within the Hospitality and Food & Beverage, Catering, or Central Kitchen environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP/ISO certification preferred).
Experience using ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Good communication and coordination skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in handling records.
Ability to work in cold storage and freezer environments when required.
Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of goods.
