Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance in commercial and residential settings.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance to extend system longevity.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques specific to refrigeration technology.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during all service and installation activities to protect both personnel and property.
  • Manage refrigerant handling and recovery processes according to environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Calibrate and adjust system controls, including thermostats and pressure switches, to optimize energy efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for each job, facilitating follow-up and compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to strategize solutions for complex refrigeration systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues and repair options clearly to clients.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies through continuous education and professional development.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational training in HVAC or refrigeration technology.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration service and repair within commercial or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with various refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and industrial chillers.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a solid understanding of electrical systems, controls, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to facilitate installation and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to clients and team members clearly.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces safely.
  • Proficiency in English, with additional language skills considered an asset for diverse client interactions.
