Job Description
Oversee and direct the design process from concept through detailed design, ensuring quality, compliance with codes, and alignment with project objectives. Provide strategic input into building design initiatives. Manage and mitigate project risks while ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. Lead design review meetings, stakeholder workshops, and technical presentations. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, permitting requirements, and international best practices. Support business development activities including proposals, bids, client presentations, and thought leadership. The technical excellence in delivering Building Design scope are as follows:

Establish And Develop The Overall Behaviors For Success Within The C&C - LDC Building Design Capability And Community. Ensuring Positive Behaviors And Responsibilities Are Encouraged, Developed And Endorsed In The Management Of The Following:
- Architecture.
- Structural Engineering.
- Building Services (MEP).
- Creative Theming and Show (CTS).
- Specialist Design Services (e.g. VT, FLS).
General
Support C&C Market And Client Accounts In The Delivery Of Best-in-class Deliverables For The LDC Buildings Business. Ensuring Positive Behaviors And Responsibilities Are Encouraged, Developed And Endorsed In The Management Of The Following:
- Technical Excellence Manage the development and deployment of technical excellence tools, techniques and training for the C&C Building LDC Market.
- Project Planning Ensure the C&C market has coverage in terms of staffing and technical capability.
- Talent Management Develop technical talent strategies for professionals within the Capability community. This is to outline clear technical progression as well as identify the best training and opportunities to develop our talent.
- Win Work Proactive support of Win Work opportunities where LDC Building Design scope is to be provided.
- Leadership & Vision (Accountable, Inspiring, Inclusive, Collaborative & Integrity) Provide leadership and demonstrate positive AtkinsR alis behaviours with performance defined by feedback through pulse surveys and other feedback avenues (as prescribed by HR).
- Future Business Plan Development Responsibility for supporting Markets and Accounts developing and implementing short, medium and long-term business plans specifically for the LDC Building Design Capability.
- Cost and Profit Ownership Delivery of project and accountability on profit on LDC Project Delivery.
- Recruitment Support Markets and Accounts with recruitment activities for Capability resources where necessary.

- Learning & Development Identify and drive development and inspire the Capability community in line with both the organization goals and the career aspirations of the individuals.
- Technical Excellence Oversee, ensure and inspire best in class delivery of LDC Building Design scoped projects. Enabling C&C Market and Client Accounts to leverage technology, skills and capabilities to ensure standards of excellence are above and beyond.
- Lessons Learnt Retain and develop a lesson learnt log across the Capability activities. Identify areas for improvement and collaboratively develop robust and clear action plans. Communicate pertinent lessons learnt to the business.
- Digital Transformation Focus on the incorporation of digital into services to create value propositions.
- PDR & Team Development Define and assist inclusively in the successful delivery of PDR s and career development for resources within the LDC Buildings community.
- Marketing and Communications Develop a Capability specific Marketing and Communications Strategy outlining what the approach is to drive AtkinsR alis business performance.
- Thought Leadership Produce thought leadership articles and papers in alignment with the Capability Marketing and Communications Strategy.
- Peer Review As required provide Peer Review activities for adjacent Capability, Markets and Accounts.
- Performance Feedback (service levels) Communicate to business feedback on Capability performance - deliverables, people, financial - positive or negative (integrity).
- Bachelor s degree in architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Urban Planning, or related discipline; master s degree preferred.
- Membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., RIBA, ICE, ASCE, RTPI, AICP, ISOCARP) preferred.
- 18+ years of professional experience with a strong portfolio in building design, structures, geotechnical, and master planning projects.
- Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering large-scale projects in the Middle East.
- Strong leadership and client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Excellent knowledge of design management processes, project delivery frameworks, and contract administration.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage project budgets and resource planning.
- Represent the business at functions selling our LDC Building Design expertise and Market knowledge.
