Roles & Responsibilities

The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) is a programme that aims to support organisations in the aid sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH). RSH supports organisations working in both the humanitarian and development sectors and is driven by the needs of smaller national or local organisations in developing countries. The programme is funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) until 2030. The Regional Lead will play a pivotal role in the delivery of effective and high-quality implementation of the Resource and Support Hub programme. The role will be responsible for team management, planning and coordination of activities, as well as stakeholder engagement and policy influencing.

Main responsibilities:

The successful candidate will lead the way in identifying, mapping and strengthening our most important relationships. You will bring structure and insight to how we engage, using data to ensure we act with clarity, purpose and impact. We are looking for someone who thrives on connecting people, shaping strategy and influencing change. This role will also convene and connect stakeholders around key sector issues. You will support colleagues across the programme to build confidence in stakeholder engagement, embedding a culture of collaboration and shared ownership.

The role is full time on a fixed term contract from 1st February 2026 until 31st July 2028.

Specific responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Delivery

  • Team leadership: manage and develop the strategic relationships within the team. Cultivate an inclusive, high-performing, values-driven culture that champions collaboration, reflection and continuous learning.
  • Operational delivery: work with the Deputy Team Leader to develop and track a workplan for the regional delivery.
  • Stakeholder representation: represent RSH at high level meetings, lead activities such as roundtables or webinars.
  • Quarterly reporting: coordinate team members to develop quarterly update on activities and impact of the RSH work in MENA.
  • Learning and collaboration: Collaborate with the global team, sharing ongoing data to build on lessons learned and adapt approaches.

Communications and Dissemination

  • Strategy and planning: Develop and implement communication and dissemination regional or country strategies to align with project goals.
  • Convening: Organize and implement events, workshops, roundtables to share information and results.
  • Advisory: Engage the Strategy Communications Lead to advise the RSH MENA team on the best way to communicate their research and outputs, and to ensure that Regional or Country Level communications assets and products (newsletters, social media, blogs) are developed and are contextually relevant and appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Influencing

  • Strategic stakeholder leadership: lead and coordinate strategic stakeholder relationships. Embed mutual benefit, shared purpose and member-centred engagement into all relationship-building activity. Support others to lead relationships, embedding the core principles of good stakeholder management across the team. Ensure key relationships such as FCDO, PSEAH Networks, CSO Networks are actively engaged.
  • Change leadership: Navigate and influence shifts in traditional partnership dynamics, encouraging stakeholders to lead and co-create. Engage with organisation leadership to promote culture change towards PSEAH.
  • Cross-functional enablement: act as a connector and enabler for RSH in MENA, supporting teams to understand, utilise and grow relationships with key stakeholders, amplifying partner voices and integrating their insights into RSH work.
  • Agile convening: operate with both planned and reactive agility to convene stakeholders around emerging issues, strategic priorities and sector challenges. Facilitate purposeful dialogue, sometimes at short notice, to maintain momentum and relevance.
  • Partnership innovation and growth: seek and develop opportunities for partnerships that extend RSH s reach and sustainability strategy for local ownership.
  • Approach complex and sensitive topics focusing on shared values and human rights: initiate and contribute to debates, discussions and other events relating to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, including of marginalised groups.
