Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

A global specialty chemical manufacturer with over four decades of industry expertise is seeking a Regional Sales Head Middle East to lead sales and business development across the UAE and surrounding markets.

The role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with deep market understanding, existing regional customer networks, and strong experience in phosphonates and specialty chemical products.

This is an individual contributor (IC) position reporting directly to the Head of Business Development (India).

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and develop regional sales of phosphonates and related product categories across the Middle East.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Lead negotiations and manage customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights to refine sales strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal marketing, product, and technical teams to align business goals.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed annual sales targets while maintaining a healthy opportunity pipeline.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of sales and business development experience in specialty chemicals, with a focus on new business acquisition (hunting role).
  • Hands-on experience with: Phosphonates, Biodegradable Chelating Agents, MBT Biocides, Polymers, Questoll Detergent Additives, and Acetyl Chloride.
  • Proven ability to plan, negotiate, and manage international customer relationships.
  • Deep understanding of Middle Eastern market ecosystems, value chains, and buyer behaviour.
  • Established customer networks and distributor linkages within the region.
  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Chemical Engineering (BSc/BTech Chemical or equivalent).

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior sales experience in the Water Treatment Chemicals segment.
