Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Operation Theatre team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in surgical procedures, patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Operation Theatre, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, assisting during operations, and providing post-operative care. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and comfort are paramount in this role. Responsibilities
- Coordinate with surgical team members to ensure efficient operation room workflow.
- Prepare and transport patients for surgical procedures with utmost care and precision.
- Maintain sterile fields and adhere to infection control protocols at all times.
- Assist surgeons and anesthetists during operations, anticipating their needs promptly.
- Monitor patient s vital signs and overall condition during surgical procedures.
- Handle surgical instruments and materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Document all care activities and interventions accurately and comprehensively.
- Remain informed about new surgical techniques and integrate them into practice when applicable.
- Support post-operative recovery by providing specialized care and monitoring progress.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients and team members alike.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxieties and provide reassurance.
- Participate in continuous education and training to enhance nursing skills.
Requirements
- Valid and current Registered Nurse license from recognized board or authority.
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing or an equivalent healthcare qualification is essential.
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience in an Operation Theatre setting.
- Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and operation room best practices.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, privacy, and delivering high-quality care.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with medical staff and patients.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and emergency situations.
- Proficient in electronic health record systems and medical documentation processes.
