Roles & Responsibilities

Job purpose

The Relationship Manager will play a critical role in client onboarding and managing client relationships. This individual will also be responsible for market research, prospect outreach, maintaining existing investor relations, and representing the fund at various industry events. A good understanding of regional asset management is essential, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, will be crucial for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Onboarding

  • Bring your own portfolio of clients, with a demonstrable history of relationships.
  • Identify potential prospects and develop them to become clients of the firm.
  • Advise customers with regards to the management of their portfolios and execute their instructions.
  • Constantly explore Investment opportunities with the client per risk appetite.
  • Actively introduce clients and prospects to Senior team members and seek guidance and support in terms of relationship management and products to develop them.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory framework, legislation and best market practices.

Business Development

  • Identify key markets, segments, and geographies where potential investors align with the firm s objectives and strategies.
  • Regularly conduct research and market analysis to identify prospective investors and cultivate a database of leads.
  • Initiate conversations, set up meetings, and present the firm s strategies, performance, and outlook to potential investors.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with potential investors through regular communication, understanding their investment objectives and tailoring pitches accordingly.

Performance Reporting:

  • Regularly report on business development activities, tracking metrics such as conversion rates, assets under management acquired, and investor feedback to senior management and other stakeholders.
