Requirements

• Proven experience in UAV/drone operation for environmental surveys.
• Proficiency in GIS and remote-sensing software (e.g. QGIS, ENVI).
• Strong programming skills in Python or R for image and data analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques for habitat suitability modeling.
• Background in ecology, environmental science, or conservation.
• Excellent academic record and professional command of English.
• Good teamwork, problem-solving skills, and adaptability in field conditions.
• Ability to interpret multispectral and high-resolution imagery.

• Plan and conduct drone-based surveys of Luban tree habitats.
• Process and analyze imagery using GIS and AI tools.
• Develop and validate habitat suitability and predictive models.
• Collect ground-truth data and conduct field visits across Dhofar.
• Synthesize findings into technical reports and co-author research publications.
• Present results in workshops and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure proper data management, documentation, and compliance with project protocols.
