Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all rigging and lifting activities on site, ensuring safe execution at all times.
Plan lifting operations, including preparation of lifting plans and method statements.
Ensure all lifting equipment and accessories are inspected, certified, and fit for use.
Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site teams to execute lifting operations efficiently.
Ensure compliance with approved procedures, project specifications, and HSE standards.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure proper control measures are implemented for lifting activities.
Monitor and enforce the use of proper rigging techniques and safe work practices.
Liaise with HSE and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Maintain records of lifting equipment, inspections, and certifications.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to lifting operations.
Identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices and take corrective actions.
Ensure proper communication and signaling during lifting operations.
Support project schedules by ensuring lifting activities are completed on time.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Diploma or relevant technical certification.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in rigging and lifting operations within oil & gas, marine, or construction projects.
Certification: Valid rigging/lifting supervisor certification (e.g., ADNOC approved or equivalent preferred).
Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging gear, and load calculations.
Familiarity with international lifting standards and safety regulations.
Proven leadership and team coordination skills.
Strong understanding of HSE requirements in lifting operations.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is an advantage.
