Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Road Foreman to supervise and coordinate road construction and maintenance activities at project sites. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of road works, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within quality standards.

Supervise day-to-day road construction and maintenance activities at the project site

  1. Lead and manage site workers, operators, and subcontractors

  2. Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and project schedule

  3. Plan and allocate manpower, machinery, and materials effectively

  4. Monitor quality of work including subgrade, base layers, asphalt, concrete works, drainage, and finishing

  5. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and consultants

  6. Ensure proper setting out, levels, and alignment as per design

  7. Maintain site discipline and ensure productivity targets are met

  8. Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all times

  9. Conduct daily site inspections and resolve on-site technical issues

  10. Maintain daily progress reports, labor records, and material usage reports

  11. Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of construction equipment

  12. Support in site measurements and quantity tracking

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Experience:
    Minimum 5–10 years of experience in road construction projects (highways, internal roads, infrastructure works)

  2. Education:
    Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Civil or related field (preferred but not mandatory with strong experience)

  3. Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of road construction processes (earthworks, sub-base, WMM, asphalt, concrete roads)

    • Familiar with road construction equipment (graders, rollers, pavers, excavators, etc.)

    • Ability to read drawings and construction plans

    • Understanding of quality control and site measurements

  4. Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills

    • Good communication and coordination ability

    • Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach

    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  5. Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to work on project sites / remote locations

    • Strong focus on safety and quality standards
