Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable operation and optimal performance of rotating equipment including gas turbines, compressors, pumps, and motors.

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for rotating machinery.

  • Monitor equipment performance and analyze reliability data to minimize downtime and operational risks.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for rotating equipment failures.

  • Represents the organization as the commissioning team leader for assigned onshore projects

  • Review and comment on EPIC Contractor SOW pre-commissioning, commissioning, and completion activities

  • Leadership of the commissioning team in the development and arrangement for approval of the commissioning procedures for all systems and facilities

  • Work closely with the project construction team, end user and contractor to coordinate punch listing activities from the beginning to the end of the commissioning process, including clearance and close-out

  • Participate in inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance planning for rotating equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/BE) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction, installation, and commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry.

  • Experience with Molten and Solid Sulfur facilities Project.

  • Mechanical Engineering background with strong experience in commissioning major rotating equipment, including preparation and review of specifications for gas compressors, HV motors, and MV submersible pumps

  • Strong capability to review and interpret method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules, and technical drawings, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and propose practical solutions

  • Location : Ras Laffan, Qatar
