Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance across the HORECA channel (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering).
  • Prepare and distribute detailed sales reports and dynamic dashboards for the Sales Manager and Sales Director, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and variances against targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and Sales Director to assign and align category-specific targets and sales quotas for the sales team.
  • Analyze historical performance and market potential to assist in the development of realistic and achievable sales goals for different product categories and customer segments.
  • Collect, validate, and interpret sales data to identify underlying trends, patterns, and performance anomalies.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis on product categories, customer purchasing behaviors, and sales representative performance to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Conduct market research specific to the Qatari Food Service landscape to understand industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive environment.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic decision-making by the Sales Director.
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives, promotions, and campaigns within the HORECA channel.
  • Provide regular performance updates and variance analysis to the FSD Sales Manager and Sales Director, highlighting areas of concern and success.
  • Analyze customer data to identify key HORECA segments, purchasing patterns, and product preferences.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support targeted marketing efforts and help the sales team tailor their approach to specific customer needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of tender documentation by providing accurate sales data, volume forecasts, and pricing analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all sales data by maintaining and updating databases and CRM systems.
  • Implement and manage data collection processes to streamline reporting.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager and Sales Director to align analysis with strategic goals.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance sales strategies and optimize product assortment for the HORECA channel.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with marketing, finance, and operations to gather relevant data and support overall business objectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest analytical tools and techniques.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data analysis processes to enhance the quality and speed of insights provided to management.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Analyst or similar role, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
