Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and plan for all market segments (corporate, luxury leisure, group / MICE, events) to achieve the hotel s revenue targets.
- Lead, coach, and manage the sales team, setting targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring strong client relationships.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the hotel s customer base, both locally and internationally.
- Manage key accounts and partnerships (luxury travel agents, corporate clients, tour operators).
- Coordinate with Revenue Management & Marketing to optimize pricing, positioning, and sales campaigns.
- Forecast trends, analyze market data, competitive environment, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, contracts, negotiations, and follow-ups to close business.
- Ensure excellent client service throughout the sales process, maintaining the brand standard of Mandarin Oriental.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience (typically 7-10+ years) in senior sales leadership roles in luxury hotels or luxury hospitality/resorts.
- Strong track record of achieving revenue / sales targets, especially across multiple segments like groups/MICE, leisure, corporate.
- Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills; experience managing a diverse sales team.
- Strategic thinking, with ability to anticipate market trends and adapt quickly.
- Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.
- Fluent in English and French; proficiency in Arabic would be a strong plus.
- Good familiarity with sales & reservation systems, CRM tools, and digital sales channels.
- Flexibility to travel as needed, attend trade shows, etc.
