Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving business growth for HVAC automation and building management solutions across the UAE market. The role combines technical sales, lead generation, relationship management, and post-sales coordination, with strong exposure to consultants, contractors, developers, and end clients. This position requires a blend of engineering understanding and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage the complete sales lifecycle—from prospecting to closure and ongoing account development. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Generation & Market Development Proactively generate leads through cold calls, site visits, references, networking, and market mapping. Identify new business opportunities in commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients including MEP consultants, HVAC contractors, system integrators, facility managers, developers, and end users. Track upcoming projects through tender portals, consultant interactions, and industry intelligence. 2. Sales Execution & Deal Closure Present and promote HVAC automation solutions, including controllers, sensors, actuators, VFD integration, and BMS interfaces. Understand client requirements and propose technically sound and commercially viable solutions. Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, estimations, and quotations. Negotiate pricing, scope, and timelines to successfully close deals while protecting margins. Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. 3. Lead Nurturing, Cross-Selling & Upselling Systematically nurture warm leads through regular follow-ups and value-based conversations. Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell additional automation products, software, services, AMC, retrofitting, or system upgrades. Build long-term relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals. 4. Client Meetings, Site Visits & Travel Conduct client meetings, product presentations, demos, and technical discussions. Perform regular site visits for project assessment, coordination, and relationship strengthening. Travel across UAE (and occasionally GCC, if required) to support business development and project execution. Represent the company professionally during all external interactions. 5. Industry Events, Expos & Networking Attend HVAC, construction, automation, and energy-related expos, trade fairs, and industry events. Actively network to generate leads and increase brand visibility for Sentrol Automations. Follow up on all event-generated leads with structured nurturing plans. 6. Reporting & CRM Management Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, meetings, proposals, and closures in CRM or reporting tools. Submit weekly and monthly sales reports, pipeline status, forecasts, and activity summaries. Track conversion ratios, sales cycle timelines, and key performance metrics. 7. Post-Sales Coordination & Support Act as a bridge between sales, engineering, projects, and service teams to ensure smooth handover after order confirmation. Support clients during execution by coordinating on documentation, approvals, and clarifications. Assist in resolving post-sales issues to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention. Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, and future phases. Desired Candidate Profile Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation. Experience 3–7 years of experience in HVAC automation, BMS, or building technologies within the UAE or GCC market. Proven track record in technical sales or pre-sales roles. Strong exposure to HVAC systems, controls, sensors, actuators, PLCs, and BMS architecture. Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of HVAC systems and automation concepts. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to balance technical depth with commercial outcomes. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and basic estimation techniques. Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field role. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities. Additional Requirements Valid UAE driving license preferred. Willingness to travel as and when required. Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Professional appearance and strong business ethics. Performance Metrics (KPIs) Lead generation volume and quality Conversion rate from lead to order Revenue and margin achievement Cross-sell / up-sell contribution Client retention and repeat business Accuracy and consistency of reporting .
Desired Candidate Profile
Electrical / Electronics/ BSc Diploma / Degree holders with 1-2 years sales experience and GCC Driving License.
