Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated Sales Executive to grow our customer base and drive revenue across the construction, power, marine, and oil & gas sectors. This is a primarily field-based, outdoor role – you will spend most of your time on the road meeting clients, visiting project sites, and building relationships face to face, rather than working from a desk. If you enjoy being out in the market and turning conversations into orders, this role is for you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Market research and lead generation – Identify and research potential customers across target industries, mapping out new business opportunities and growth markets.

  • Customer visits – Travel regularly to meet prospective and existing clients at their offices and project sites, understanding their requirements first-hand and representing Fastec as the face of the company.

  • Generating inquiries – Engage customers to uncover their fastener needs and secure inquiries for both standard and custom-made products.

  • Preparing quotations – Translate customer requirements into accurate, competitive quotations, coordinating with internal teams on technical specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.

  • Production follow-up – Stay in close contact with the production team throughout the manufacturing process to track order progress and keep customers informed of timelines.

  • Payment tracking – Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and healthy account balances.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Strong communication skills in English – confident and professional in both spoken and written English, with the ability to build rapport with clients and present clearly.

  • A valid UAE driver's license – essential for this field-based role, as you will be travelling daily to meet customers and visit project sites.

  • Proven B2B sales experience – a track record in industrial, manufacturing, or technical sales, ideally selling to the construction, power, marine, or oil & gas sectors.

  • Self-motivation and a results-driven mindset – able to work independently, manage your own schedule, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Negotiation and relationship-building skills – comfortable handling pricing discussions, closing deals, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

  • Organizational and follow-up skills – capable of juggling multiple inquiries, quotations, and orders while keeping accurate records and tracking payments.

  • Technical aptitude – able to understand customer specifications and product requirements, and translate them into accurate quotations.

  • Computer literacy – proficient with email, MS Office, and order-management systems.

  • Willingness to travel – comfortable spending most of the working day in the field across the UAE.

  • Experience in the fastener industry – or in related hardware, building materials, steel, or industrial supply sales.

  • Familiarity with the construction, power, marine, or oil & gas sectors – understanding how these industries buy and what they value.

  • An established network of contacts – existing relationships with contractors, EPC companies, procurement teams, or project managers in the region.

  • Technical product knowledge – familiarity with bolts, nuts, washers, and fasteners, and the ability to read specifications or standards (e.g., ASTM, DIN, ISO).

  • Knowledge of the UAE / GCC market – prior experience selling within the region and an understanding of the local business landscape.

  • Additional language skills – Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or other languages commonly spoken across the UAE's business and project environment.
