Roles & Responsibilities
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Head of Sales
The Sales Manager MRO (Motors & Gearboxes) will drive growth in the motors and gearbox segment across the GCC region. This role combines business development, key account management, and product specialization. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of motors and gearboxes, a proven track record in industrial sales, and the ability to support the wider MRO sales team as a subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and secure new customers for motors and gearboxes across the GCC region.
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand application needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Drive sales through consultative selling and technical product presentations.
Product Expertise & Support
- Act as the product specialist for motors and gearboxes within the MRO team.
- Support other sales managers in closing opportunities involving motors and gearboxes.
- Liaise with OEMs, suppliers, and internal product management to ensure optimal technical and commercial solutions.
- Provide input on pricing strategy, market trends, and competitive positioning.
Account Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key industrial clients in Steel, Cement, Mining, Power, and related sectors.
- Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and technical clarifications.
- Manage after-sales follow-up, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the GCC.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and feedback to management.
- Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events to promote KG International s MRO offerings.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
- 7 10 years of experience in sales of industrial motors, gearboxes, and related MRO products.
- Strong network of industrial customers across GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain).
- Proven record of achieving sales targets in a B2B industrial environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Valid GCC driving license and willingness to travel regionally.
Preferred:
- Experience with brands such as SEW, Siemens, WEG, ABB, Bonfiglioli, or Nord.
- Familiarity with applications in heavy industries like steel, cement, crushers, and manufacturing.
- Prior experience in distribution, OEM sales, or industrial solution selling.
