Job Advertisement Sales Officer
Position: Sales Officer
Department: Sales
Industry: Quarries and Mining
Location: Oman/Duqm
Job Purpose
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Officer to support sales activities within the quarries and mining sector. The role will be responsible for customer coordination, quotations, sales follow-up, payment collection, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, crushers, construction companies, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily sales activities for quarry and mining products such as aggregates, limestone, rocks, minerals, and related materials.
Identify new customers and business opportunities within construction, infrastructure, contracting, and industrial sectors.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and follow up on their requirements.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, sales orders, and customer inquiries.
Coordinate with quarry operations, dispatch, logistics, weighbridge, finance, and quality teams to ensure timely delivery.
Follow up on payment collections and outstanding receivables.
Coordinate with finance for invoices, billing, credit limits, and payment reconciliation.
Monitor customer orders, delivery schedules, and product availability.
Prepare regular sales, collection, customer visit, and market feedback reports.
Handle customer complaints and coordinate internally for timely resolution.
Support the Sales Manager / Commercial Manager in achieving sales targets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structure, credit terms, and HSE requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in quarries, mining, aggregates, crushers, construction materials, or contracting sector.
Oman/GCC experience will be an advantage and Duqm experience will be added advantage.
Experience of export of limestone and dolomite will be extra advantage.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of sales and customer relationship management.
Understanding of quarry/mining products, aggregates, limestone, or construction materials is preferred.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to follow up on collections and receivables.
Good coordination skills with operations, dispatch, logistics, and finance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of ERP, SAP, CRM, or accounting systems will be an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Valid driving license is preferred.
