Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Sales Team Leader to support our GSA operations by leading a team of sales executives and account managers. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of airline sales, travel trade dynamics, and agency relationship management. You will be responsible for driving revenue, managing key accounts, and ensuring strong collaboration with the airline principal.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Sales Execution

  • Lead and manage a team of airline sales representatives across Central , Western & Eastern provinces of Saudi Arabia within the GSA framework.
  • Set team KPIs in line with airline revenue targets, load factors, and market share objectives.
  • Develop sales plans and tactical campaigns tailored to local market conditions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to improve sales productivity and airline product knowledge.
  • Resolve Client concerns and ensure smooth communication between the airline and trade partners.
  • Support in planning and executing promotional campaigns.
  • Analyze sales trends, market behavior and competitors activities.
  • Achieve and exceed set revenue targets ( passenger / cargo).
  • Ensure all activities are aligned with airline policies and GSA agreements

Market & Trade Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IATA and non-IATA travel agencies, TMCs, tour operators, and consolidators.
  • Organize trade visits, product briefings, and sales blitzes to promote the airline.
  • Represent the airline at local trade shows, travel fairs, and roadshows as required.

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of key travel trade accounts, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with travel agents on fare filing, group bookings, incentive agreements, and promotional offers.
  • Monitor agency performance and provide insights to optimize sales output.

Coordination with Airline Principal

  • Act as a liaison between the GSA office and the airline’s regional or head office.
  • Submit periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on sales performance, market intelligence, and competitor activity.
  • Communicate airline policy changes, fare updates, and operational notices to the trade.

Data Management

  • Analyze booking trends, route performance, and agency contributions to inform sales strategy.

Training & Development

  • Organize product training sessions for internal team and travel trade partners.
  • Onboard and train new sales staff on airline systems, GDSs (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre), and airline fare structures.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Aviation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in airline or GSA sales, with team leadership exposure.
  • Strong understanding of BSP, GDS systems, travel agency networks, and airline commercial policies.
  • Experience in route startup or new market development (preferred).
  • Strong communication, negotiations and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office ( Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook )

Travel Requirement:

  • Domestic travel to key agency locations in Central, Western & Eastern provinces of Saudi Arabia
  • Occasional international travel for airline meetings or conferences

· Saudi Driving License Holder

Salary -As per the industry standard.
