Roles & Responsibilities

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer / Technical Consultant with strong expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in ABAP programming, integrations, CDS Views, OData services, and technical enhancements across core SAP modules. The role requires close collaboration with functional teams to design, develop, optimize, and support scalable SAP solutions aligned with business requirements.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and provide scalable SAP technical solutions.

  • Develop and support RICEFW objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.

  • Build and optimize ABAP programs in ECC and S/4HANA environments.

  • Develop CDS Views, OData Services, and support SAP Fiori applications.

  • Work on integrations using RFC, BAPI, IDoc, APIs, and file interfaces.

  • Perform performance tuning, debugging, and code optimization.

  • Ensure code quality through reviews, ATC checks, and ABAP Unit testing.

  • Support implementation, rollout, upgrade, and enhancement projects.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants across MM, SD, FI/CO, PP, and QM modules.

  • Provide production support and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.

  • Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge-sharing activities.


Desired Candidate Profile

  1. 8–10 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

  2. Strong experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

  3. Experience working on end-to-end SAP implementation and support projects.

  4. Good understanding of manufacturing, retail, or FMCG business processes preferred.

  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  6. Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

  7. SAP certification in ABAP/S/4HANA will be an added advantage.


Technical Skills:

  • Classical ABAP & Object-Oriented ABAP

  • CDS Views, AMDP, Open SQL on HANA

  • OData Services & SAP Gateway

  • RFC, BAPI, IDoc, APIs, Proxy Interfaces

  • Smart Forms, SAPScript, Adobe Forms, ALV Reports

  • User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Frameworks, BTEs

  • Performance Tuning, SQL Trace, Debugging, ATC Checks

  • SAPUI5/Fiori basic extensions and annotations

  • ADT (Eclipse), SE80, CTS+, Git/GitLab

  • Exposure to RAP and Clean Core concepts preferred
