Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Maintain and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts and post journal entries accurately.

  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP): verify supplier invoices, perform 3-way matching (PO, GR, Invoice), prepare payment schedules, and reconcile vendor statements.

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): monitor customer balances, prepare and issue invoices, reconcile accounts, and follow up on overdue payments.

  • Perform weekly and monthly bank and cash reconciliations; monitor cash flow movements.

  • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budgets.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare schedules for audits and management review.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS), company policies, and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax regulations.

  • Apply costing methods for inventory and production where applicable.

  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting certifications (CMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.

Experience:

  • 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably with hands-on SAP Business One (B1 HANA).

  • Strong understanding of GL, AP, AR, bank processes, and month-end closing.

  • Experience with UAE VAT compliance and general financial reporting.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Ability to meet deadlines during closing periods.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
