Roles & Responsibilities

System Administration & Operations

  • Manage and monitor SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, etc.).
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches.
  • Oversee transport management and ensure smooth change deployments.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide root cause analysis.

Database & Infrastructure

  • Administer databases (HANA, SQL Server, or others) in SAP landscapes.
  • Optimize database performance, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure system team on OS, storage, and network requirements.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and manage SAP security standards, authorizations, and user administration.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and IT security policies.
  • Perform system health checks and risk assessments.

Project Support

  • Lead Basis-related activities in SAP implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Support integration with third-party applications.
  • Provide technical expertise in SAP landscape design and architecture.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical guidelines.
  • Proactively recommend improvements for system performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated with SAP best practices, tools, and innovations.

Desired Candidate Profile

2+ years in a similar role.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA and HANA DB administration.
  • Awareness of investigating and resolving issues related to system performance.
  • Can document SAP processes, procedures, and plans; including changes, upgrades, and new services.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for SAP hosting.
  • Knowledge of Linux OS.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and automation solutions.
