Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to join the school in August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across the secondary phase (KS3 KS4, with potential KS5 depending on specialism)
- Teach a broad range of Science subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at lower secondary level
- Prepare students for GCSE / IGCSE examinations
- Plan and deliver differentiated and engaging lessons
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Contribute to curriculum development and school activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field)
- QTS / PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification teaching experience
- Experience with the UK National Curriculum (essential)
- Strong subject knowledge across general science
- Passionate about teaching and supporting student development
