Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing all security operations to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property. This role is especially critical during the pre-opening phase to establish robust security protocols, train the security team, and ensure full compliance with local laws and company standards.
What you ll do...
Pre-Opening:
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans tailored to the property s requirements and local regulations.
Recruit, train, and lead the security team, fostering a culture of vigilance and exceptional service.
Conduct security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks before opening.
Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and preparedness.
Oversee the installation and testing of security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and communication equipment.
Operational:
Manage daily security operations across all hotel areas, including guest zones, back-of-house, and accommodations.
Monitor security personnel performance and conduct ongoing training sessions.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and security breaches, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
Maintain effective communication with all departments to promote a secure and safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards as well as legal requirements.
Coordinate crowd management and safety during events and periods of peak occupancy.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and develop the security team to maintain professionalism, responsiveness, and high standards.
Conduct regular drills and training to enhance team readiness and response capabilities.
Manage scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks for the security department.
Desired Candidate Profile
What we re looking for /strong>
Bachelor s degree or diploma in Security Management, Law Enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in security management, ideally within luxury hospitality or similar environments.
Strong knowledge of Egyptian security laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
